Robert Maynard Hutchins

We call Japanese soldiers fanatics when they die rather than surrender, whereas American soldiers who do the same thing are called heroes.

1 comment:

  1. Frantic: go for the bullets and die. (lost their fighting spirit, if not die today die tomorrow, why suffer more?)
Hero: dodge bullets yet still hit and die. After death, God may take care them both.

But for those wounded soldiers, they live their life in agony, receive less love, less care. some felt as if they have been used.
