没入観を得るための Virtual Reality 技術や Artificial Reality 技術などの意味での Virtual は Real の対極ではない。逆に、限りなく Real に近い状態だ。ここでは Reality を増した結果を Virtual と呼んでいることになるので、Real と Virtual がほぼ同義語になっている。
デフォルメされたアバターによりコミュニケーションする SNS などを Virtual と呼ぶのは Virtue を Abstract するという感じだ。ここでは Reality を減らした結果を Virtual と呼んでいることになるので、Virtual と Real がほぼ対義語になっている。
