Toshio Tsunozaki

(30 July) I would like to express my deep gratitude to the media and citizens who have contributed so that the bike is found. In this way the Serbian people have demonstrated friendship, affection and good will.
(17 August) Once again I would like to express my deep gratitude to the government, local governments, companies and all citizens of Serbia for their sympathy, support, solidarity, the organization of various humanitarian events and offers of assistance to our people.

  1. Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic delivered the bicycle to the citizen of Japan, Ryu Asaji, who embarked on a journey around the world and had his bicycle stolen ten days ago in Belgrade.

    Dacic said on that occasion that these cases cast a negative shadow on the image of our country and are a disgrace to the country.

    The Prime Minister said that the Interior Ministry and police were actively involved in action to find the bike, and on behalf of the citizens of our country he apologised to Asaji.

    He pointed out that based on video recordings from the cameras at the Usce mall the police identified the suspect. The suspect Veljko Dj. , reported himself to the police.

    citizens who have contributed so that the bike is found, adding that in this way the Serbian people have demonstrated friendship, affection and good will.

  2. Japanese Ambassador to Belgrade Toshio Tsunozaki thanked Serbian citizens for their donations to the Japanese people after a devastating earthquake and tsunami in that country in March. In a statement for the public, Tsunozaki highlighted his gratitude to Serbia, specifying that RSD34,152,175.19 and EUR19,370.42 had been paid into a special bank account belonging to the Japanese embassy in Belgrade to date, and sent along to the Japanese Red Cross. The ambassador of Japan voiced thanks to everyone who sent a donation to the Serbian Red Cross. “Once again I would like to express my deep gratitude to the government, local governments, companies and all citizens of Serbia for their sympathy, support, solidarity, the organization of various humanitarian events and offers of assistance to our people,” Tsunozaki said.
